ICYM and Catholic Sabha units of Permannur celebrate India’s 75 glorious years of freedom

Aug 22 : Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) unit of St Sebastian Church, Permannur in association with Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh (R) Permannur, with great honour and pride celebrated India’s 75 glorious years of freedom and the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary on 15th August 2022. Following the holy mass, flag hoisting program was organised in the church campus. The program began with a prayer song. Ms Ashvia Anna Lasrado, President, ICYM Permannur welcomed the gathering. Rev. Fr Cyprian Pinto, parish priest presided over the program. Chief guest Ms Olivia Dsouza, branch manager, Federal bank, thokottu branch, hoisted the national flag.

“ An ode to the preamble”, recite to unite, recitation of the preamble of the constitution was led by the ICYM President. Vote of thanks was rendered by Mr Arun Dsouza, secretary of Catholic Sabha. Fr Steevan Cutinho, Asst Parish priest, Mr Maurice Monteiro and Mrs Philomina Dsouza, Vice President and Secretary of Parish Pastoral Council, Animator Mr Deril Dsouza, ICYM President and Secretary - Ms Ashvia Anna Lasrado and Mr Dailesh Dsouza and Catholic Sabha President and secretary - Mr Naveen Dsouza and Mr Arun Dsouza were present on the stage.
