Mar 12 : Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh® in collaboration with 12 Deaneries celebrated Women’s Day on 12th March 2023 at Bejai church hall. The Spiritual Director Rev. Dr. J.B. Saldanha inaugurated the Program by lighting the Lamp along with guests and the Women empowerment conveners from the Deaneries.

In his speech, Rev Dr Saldanha spoke about Gender inequality and how society appreciates only the men and the women’s hard work is not appreciated. Though 60% of members of Catholic Sabha are women, so far only Mrs. Flavy Dsouza has become the President. He requested more women to come forward and take up more responsible positions in the Catholic Sabha. He also suggested the women take care of their health, not only their families. He requested the women or the parents to treat their child boy or girl equally.

Speaker among the honoraries, Ms. Mishel Queeni Dcosta, IRS (who was honoured by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman), in her speech mentioned her inspirational background and encouraged mothers and the youth to motivate in various subjects of their interest.

The Chief Guest Mrs. Hilda Dsilva Retired Vice Principal, Milagres College Kallianpur, gave a very interesting talk about women and how women are more superior than they think. And we can do much more if we want. Women are the centre of attraction. A lady can do everything that gents can do. Whatever you give to a woman, she gives it back in multiples. We have to take a look at our families. And deal with our children with lots and lots of love. If a woman cannot be a role model to her children then we cannot have better families. She wished every woman not power over men, but power over themselves.

Chief guest Sister Cicilia Mendonca , Bethany Provincialate Provincial Superior, in her speech she said, one has to respect every woman. Woman is a sign of service and sacrifice. We as parents have to teach our children the values. She asked every woman to take leadership and responsibility and to do good both at home and society.

Guest of Honour Roy Castelino, P.R.O. Mangalore Diocese in his speech appreciated and greeted all the honoraries for their achievements. In response to the chief speaker's speech, he acknowledged that he will change one thing in his daily life. He asked the ladies to get into politics. He also congratulated the Catholic Sabha for their good work.

Stany Lobo, President, Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh® , in his Presidential Speech, congratulated all the women on Women’s Day and thanked the Women for their contribution to Catholic Sabha and requested more women to take more active part in politics and face any difficulty and serve the community.

Mr. Vinod Pinto, Vice President, Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh® welcomed the gathering. Mrs Laveena Pinto , Women empowerment convener , Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh® rendered the vote of thanks. Mr. Patrick DSouza, Past President, Episcopal City Deanery compered the program.

ಕಥೊಲಿಕ್ ಸಭಾ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಪ್ರದೇಶ(ರಿ.) ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಇದರ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಮಹಿಳಾ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ

ಕಥೊಲಿಕ ಸಭಾ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಪ್ರದೇಶ (ರಿ.) ಹಾಗೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಲಯಗಳ ಸಹಕಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ 2023 ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 12 ರಂದು ಮಹಿಳಾ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಆದ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ಬಿಜೈ ಚರ್ಚಿನ ಗುರುಗಳಾದ ವಂದನೀಯ ಗುರು ಡಾ|ಜೆ.ಬಿ ಸಲ್ಡಾನ್ಹಾರವರು ಪವಿತ್ರ ಪೂಜೆಯನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದರು.

ನಂತರ ಸಭಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಕಥೊಲಿಕ ಸಭಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರಿಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷಾರದ ಶ್ರೀ ಸ್ಟ್ಯಾನಿ ಲೋಬೊರವರು ಅಧಕ್ಷ್ಷ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ವಹಿಸಿದರು. ಉದ್ಘಾಟಕರಾಗಿ ಆದ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದರು.

12 ವಲಯದ 12 ಸ್ತ್ರೀ ಹಿತಾ ಸಂಚಾಲಕಿಯರು ದೀಪದ ಮೂಲಕ ವೇದಿಕೆಗೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ ಬಳಿಕ ಅಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೀಪವನ್ನು ಗಣ್ಯರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿ ಉರಿಸಿದ ಬಳಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆಯನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದರು. ತದನಂತರ ತಮ್ಮ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಲಿಂಗ ಸಮಾನತೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಕನಸಾಗಿದೆ. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕಾಳಜಿ ವಹಿಸುವಂತೆ ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಗುವಿಗೆ ಗಂಡು ಮಗುವಿನಂತೆಯೇ ಸಮಾನ ಗೌರವವನ್ನು ನೀಡಲು ಶ್ರಮಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ವಿವಿಧ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರನ್ನು ಹಾಗೂ ಯುವತಿಯರನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಸನ್ಮಾನಿತರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬರಾದ ಕು| ಮಿಶೆಲ್ ಕ್ವೀನಿ ಡಿಕೋಸ್ತಾ IRS ಇವರು ಮಾತಾನಾಡಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಮಹಿಳೆಯ ಯಶಸ್ಸು ಇತರ ಮಹಿಳೆಗೆ ಸ್ಪೂರ್ತಿಯಾಗಬೇಕು. ಯುವಜನರನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ಇರುವ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಬೇಕು. ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಮೂಲಕ ಆಧಾರಿತವಾದ ಸೇವೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಒತ್ತು ನೀಡಬೇಕು. ಸಮಾನತೆಯನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಮುನ್ನಡೆಯಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಗೊಟ್ಟರು.

ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾದ ಹಿಲ್ಡಾ ಡಿಸಿಲ್ವಾ , ನಿವೃತ್ತ ವೈಸ್ ಪ್ರಿನ್ಸಿಪಾಲ್ ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರಿಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜ್, ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ್‍ಪುರ್ ಇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ದಿಕ್ಸೂಚಿ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು ಆರ್ಷಣೆಯ ಕೇಂದ್ರಬಿಂದು. ಪುರುಷರು ಏನು ಮಾಡಬಹುದೋ ಅದನ್ನು ಮಹಿಳೆಯೂ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು. ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಬೇಕು .ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬಹಳ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ ವ್ಯವಹರಿಸಬೇಕು. ಒಬ್ಬ ಮಹಿಳೆ ತನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಮಾದರಿಯಾಗಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗದಿದ್ದರೆ, ಮಹಿಳಾ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಮಹತ್ವವಿಲ್ಲ್ ಎಂದು ನುಡಿದರು. ನಮ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬದಲ್ಲಿ, ನಮ್ಮ ನೆರೆಹೊರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ನಡತೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಯನ್ನು ತರುವ ಎಂದು ನೆರೆದಿರುವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡರು.

ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿ- ಸಿಸ್ಟರ್ ಸಿಸಿಲಿಯಾ ಮೆಂಡೊನ್ಸಾ- ಬೆಥನಿ ಪ್ರೊವಿನ್ಶಿಯಲೇಟ್ ಪ್ರೊವಿನ್ಶಿಯಲ್ ಸುಪಿರಿಯರ್ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳು ಅಗತ್ಯ. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಮಹಿಳೆಯು ನಾಯಕತ್ವ ಮತ್ತು ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ಮೂಲಕ ಮನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಧಾರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡರು.

ಗಣ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿ - ಮಾನ್ಯ ರೋಯ್ ಕ್ಯಾಸ್ತೆಲಿನೊ - ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯವರು ತಮ್ಮ ನುಡಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ಸಾಧನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಶಂಶಿಸಿದರು ಹಾಗೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತರನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿ ಅಭಿನಂದಿಸಿದರು. ರಾಜಕೀಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ಪಾತ್ರ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿ, ಕ್ಯಾಥೋಲಿಕ್ ಸಭೆಯ ಉತ್ತಮ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅಭಿನಂದಿಸಿದರು.

ಕಥೊಲಿಕ್ ಸಭಾ ಮಂಗ್ಳುರ್ ಪ್ರದೇಶ್ (ರಿ.) ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಸ್ಟ್ಯಾನಿ ಲೋಬೊ ಇವರು ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರ ನುಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಸೇವೆಯು ಪ್ರಮುಖವಾದುದು. ಯಾವುದೇ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಜಯಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಕರೆಗೊಟ್ಟರು.

ಕಥೊಲಿಕ್ ಸಭಾ ಮಂಗ್ಳುರ್ ಪ್ರದೇಶ್ (ರಿ.) ಇದರ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ವಿನೋದ್ ಪಿಂಟೊರವರು ನೆರೆದಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು. ಕಥೊಲಿಕ್ ಸಭಾ ಮಂಗ್ಳುರ್ ಪ್ರದೇಶ್ (ರಿ.) ಇದರ ಸ್ತ್ರೀ-ಸಶಕ್ತೀಕರಣ ಸಂಚಾಲಕಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಲವೀನಾ ಪಿಂಟೊ ಧನ್ಯವಾದವನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು. ಎಪಿಸ್ಕೋಪಲ್ ಸಿಟಿ ವಲಯದ ಮಾಜಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ಯಾಟ್ರಿಕ್ ಡಿಸೋಜರವರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು.
